Potentials of cold forming for drive shafts

Felss steering shafts are made using the rotary swaging process to create one-piece solutions that meet the toughest of requirements with regard to the internal profile. Felss steering shafts are manufactured from a single tube using the net-shape process. The outer and inner contours are produced in just a few production steps and in a single operation without the need for any further reworking. This reduces production costs while improving the straightness and ensuring the highest geometric accuracy of the component. As a result, Felss can offer economical series production right through to the ready-to-fit component.
