Rotary swaging machines, transfer systems and NC systems
The perfect system solution includes more than just a rotary swaging unit. Just as important for efficient production are, for example, machine beds, transfer and automation elements as well as cutting processing steps. The modular systems at Felss ensure that only tried and tested components are used and that every system is perfectly designed. This means that we can provide both single station machines and complex transfer lines –particular to the customer's application. Individual Felss quality is always guaranteed. The customized production solutions at Felss include rotary swaging machines of type HA40-10VUE, HA40-1VUEH-NC, Generation E and HA120-1V.
Modular and customized
The modular structure and individual design of the Felss rotary swaging machines, transfer systems and NC systems provide users with important advantages:
- Efficient: State-of-the-art machine and transfer concepts reduce the cycle times of the systems. Setup processes are quick and easy.
- Economical: Dies and other wear parts are constantly being improved. New manufacturing processes, optimized geometries and materials increase the service life and reduce the costs.
- Flexible: The intermediate stations used by Felss make a particularly flexible system concept possible. New dies or changes to the dies can be quickly implemented for example using turning stations or small processing units - without having to make changes to the overall system layout.
- Ergonomic: Quick and safe access to the working stations and an ergonomic work environment – every Felss system must be able to fulfill this criteria. They ultimately contribute towards the production safety and quality of the component.
Rotary swaging unit and machine bed
The various sized rotary swaging units will be enhanced by a machine bed as well as infeed and transfer/automation. Its design guarantees rigidity and therefore the precision of a rotary swaging system. Dampers prevent vibration from being transmitted to the hall floors.
Infeed, clamping devices and mandrel equipment
The design of the Felss infeeds guarantees a great degree of rigidity and the quick acceleration of the unit. The mandrel equipment makes it possible to create the internal geometry of the component. The mandrel is mounted and turns with the workpiece during rotary swaging.
Automation & transfer system
Automation: Various degrees of automation are available - from a stand machine with manual infeed to a single station, semiautomatic machine up to multi-station fully automatic transfer systems.
Transfer system: The Felss transfer systems unload the magazine system on the entry side, takes over the transport between stations and then loads the magazine system on the delivery side.
Intermediate stations and control
These stations half the transfer distance, thereby reducing the cycle time. Space-saving and efficiently important functions such as testing, 180-degree turn-around or smaller work units can also be integrated. Felss machines are equipped with programmable logic controller (PLC) or computerized numerical control (CNC). Felss has developed its own graphical user interface. This also significantly simplifies the numerical control (NC) of multi-axial systems.
