Tube bending

With the tube bending process from Felss, the tube sections are automatically fed into a CNC-controlled bending machine and then bent. The bending head can cover the various bending processes, such as rotary draw, roller, push roller, and collet bending. This makes it possible to create the most varied line geometries on a machine. The application areas for the bending solutions of Felss are varied and extend from fuel lines to the heat exchanger tube, from the stand-alone-machine to the complete production cell.

Bending of Flat Material out of Spring Steel

A special field of Felss involves machines for the processing of flat material from the coil. With these high-speed bending applications, the task is to apply as many bends/radii to a short length of the material as possible in order to generate pretension meant to counter the subsequent use. The most frequent usage is the flat wiper blade, which is used worldwide for car windshield wipers and has asserted itself as the optimal technology. As a special feature, the machine is characterized by exact material guidance during the bending process, with subsequent separation of the material strand. In this way the geometry can be created in the “three-roll bending process” without sacrificing accuracy.
