TOP 100 medium-sized companies: Felss Systems Is One of the Innovation Leaders of 2018.
This year, the most innovative German medium-sized companies will be honored for the 25th time with the TOP 100 seal. Felss Systems GmbH is also one of these innovation leaders. In an independent selection procedure, the company was especially impressive in the categories of “Open Innovation” and “Innovative Processes and Organization.” Founded more than a century ago, Felss Systems GmbH, as part of the Felss company group, has developed to become the leading provider in Germany in the field of cold forming technology. The medium-sized company based in Königsbach-Stein has a total of 238 employees and develops innovations and Industry 4.0 solutions with a focus on the automotive industry. The latest example is a novel drive shaft for electric vehicles. With the rotary swaging process, these components are produced from only one pipe, thus making them lighter and more resource-friendly than comparable components. This capability for innovation is not least due to an excellent work climate. Variable remuneration models, a structured suggestion system, and targeted measures for human resources development ensure that employees can completely explore their creative potential. A close exchange of ideas with customers is also part of the development of successful product and service innovations. “I am proud of the development of our company and the innovation strength of our employees,” says Andreas Egelseder, CMTO of the Felss Group. The scientific head of TOP 100, Prof. Nikolaus Franke, honors Felss Systems together with mentor Ranga Yogeshwar on June 29, 2018, at the award ceremony in Ludwigsburg during the fifth summit of German medium-sized companies. “It is unbelievably fascinating how the TOP 100 companies approach challenges,” says Prof. Nikolaus Franke. “They are the ones – with their creativity, decisiveness, and boldness – who create what we need as society: novel solutions to problems and, as a result, prosperity, growth, and employment.”
