About us.
Felss was founded back in 1905 to process high-quality materials with its own machines in a way that conserves resources. Today, the international Felss group of companies has grown from this and has become an indispensable solution provider in the field of cold forming of tubes and solid materials – in the automotive industry, the entire mobility sector and other industries. With the acquisition of the HMP companies in 2019, Felss has gained further technologies for processing a wide range of materials with rolling.

The Felss Group has locations in Europe, America and Asia. This gives us a strong international sales, service and production network.
Our management worldwide
Our mechanical engineering division, which is represented by Felss Systems , and our component manufacturing division, , which is represented by Felss Rotaform . We are located on three continents worldwide and have various sites there. As a management team, we work together on the sustainable orientation of the Felss Group. Thanks to cross-location collaboration and a wide range of different personalities and experiences, we are able to implement our high standards and create resource-saving solutions for our customers.

Experience in innovation: our history
Foundation
The brothers Julius and Otto Felss found the company Gebr. Felss for special machines for metal processing.
Start of production
Production of the first rotary swaging and reduction machines begins.
New company owner
Klaus Kienhöfer takes over the company Gebr. Felss and now manages the company’s business.
Innovation
Felss builds the world’s first automatic rotary swaging machine.
New factory building
The company’s continued expansion requires a new factory building and a move to Königsbach-Stein.
Europe-wide Felss Group
The founding of Felss Rotaform AG in Switzerland marks the birth of the Felss Group. For the first time, rotary swaging parts are offered in contract manufacturing throughout Europe.
Felss Rotaform GmbH
Felss Rotaform GmbH is founded in Königsbach-Stein as a new member of the Felss Group.
Axial molds
The first fully automatic multi-stage press transfer system for expanding and drawing in pipes is delivered. The new axial molds product line is also launched as part of this.
New factory building and relocation
The steadily increasing demand for rotary swaging parts from contract manufacturing enables the construction of a new factory and relocation from Königsbach-Stein to Bretten-Gölshausen.
USA
Felss Rotaform LLC is founded in Wisconsin/USA and joins the Felss Group as its first international member outside Europe.
Fusion
Felss Burger GmbH in Nesselwang becomes a new member of the Felss Group. Felss Burger develops and builds machines and automated, highly flexible production systems.
China and Suzhou
The internationalization of the Felss Group is progressing. Felss Rotaform Precision Components (Suzhou) Co. Ltd. is founded in Wujiang (China).
Innovation 2.0
The first fully automatic rotary swaging machine without hydraulics is introduced: The “Generation E” symbolizes the continuous further development of Felss products and marks the beginning of a new system philosophy.
Slovakia
The internationalization of the Felss Group is progressing. Felss Rotaform S.R.O. is founded in Ilava (Slovakia). In the same year, the Swiss investment company CAPVIS acquires a majority stake in the Felss Group.
HMP Rolling
New cold forming technologies are being introduced. The HMP companies become part of the Felss Group as HMP Rolling. Rolling and rolling systems are now also part of the product portfolio.
